Server / Cashier
Job Description
A Server/Cashiers:
Greeting guests, taking accurate orders, and handling cash or card transactions. Key duties include serving food/beverages, managing the POS system, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining dining area cleanliness, requiring strong multitasking, math, and communication skills.
Core Responsibilities
Customer Service & Order Taking: Greet guests, present menus, answer questions about ingredients, and take food/drink orders accurately, often using POS systems.
Payment Processing: Accept cash, credit cards, and gift cards, operate the cash register, make change accurately, and close out the drawer.
Service & Table Maintenance: Deliver food and beverages to tables, clear and sanitize tables, and ensure the dining area is clean.
Support & Preparation: Stock service stations, prepare to-go orders, and assist kitchen staff as needed.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.
Key Requirements
Experience: Previous restaurant or customer service experience is preferred.
Skills: Strong communication, basic math skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Physical: Ability to stand for long periods and lift trays.
Certifications: Food Handler Certification Required
