Job Description
Key Responsibilities
• Supplier Management: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong vendor relationships to secure favorable terms and pricing.
• Order Processing: Prepare and process purchase orders with accurate specifications and pricing, ensuring all necessary approvals from management are obtained.
• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, track deliveries, and resolve discrepancies or issues related to shipments, product quality, or missing materials.
• Collaboration: Work closely with crew management and crew leaders to ensure materials and equipment are delivered accurately and on time for ongoing projects.
Required Skills
• Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple purchasing tasks and priorities efficiently.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with suppliers, crew members, and management.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with procurement software and tools, along with a working understanding of materials and equipment commonly used in Company projects (e.g., pipe, fittings, gaskets, forklifts, booms, etc.).
• Computer Skills: Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and etc… All documents must be proofread and accurate grammar used before submitting.
• Driving:
Driving record must be clear of any DUI’s or serious violations. Must be able to drive larger vehicles and be able to pull a trailer.
Work Environment
• Varied Work Settings: This role involves both office work and fieldwork. Candidates must be flexible and comfortable working in extreme weather conditions as well as maintaining professionalism in the office environment.
• Multitasking: The position requires the ability to manage several tasks and respond to all levels of management while assisting with multiple projects simultaneously.
• Travel Requirements: Travel to out-of-town job sites is required. Some assignments may involve staying on-site for several days. Per diem will be provided.
• High-Pressure Environment: This position requires a strong commitment to task completion and the ability to perform under high stress, ensuring all responsibilities are met before the end of each workday.
