Job Description
NOW HIRING: Furniture Installer / Installer Technician
Location: Bakersfield, California
Pay: $18 per hour (up to $20/hr DOE)
We are seeking a dependable and skilled Furniture Installer / Installer Technician to join our team. This role involves assembling furniture, working with tools, and representing our company professionally at school sites and government facilities.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of installer or related experience preferred
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs
- Valid California Driver’s License with a clean record (no points)
- May be required to drive company vehicles
- Must be able to pass federal and state background checks and fingerprinting (required for school sites)
- Ability to work long hours, Monday–Friday
- High school diploma preferred
- Self-starter, self-motivated, dependable, and responsible
- Basic computer skills and ability to use devices like an iPad
- Some travel required
Skills & Abilities
- Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving ability
- Proficient using power tools, hand tools, drills, saws, and equipment
- Ability to properly and safely assemble furniture according to plans
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills; able to manage difficult or emotional situations
- Must demonstrate professionalism:
- Dress appropriately
- Maintain excellent attendance
- Respect customer surroundings
- Communicate clearly to build trust and confidence
- Be visionary, inventive, authentic, tenacious, and a team player
Responsibilities
- Assemble and install desks, tables, chairs, and furniture components
- Work safely and efficiently with tools and equipment
- Maintain professionalism at customer locations, including schools and government agencies
- Communicate with customers to resolve issues and ensure a positive experience
- Exhibit reliability, strong work ethic, and a positive attitude
