Manual Machinist - Machinist needed for busy, local machine shop! This Machinist will read blueprints, have strong understanding of part specifications and use a variety of machines such as a Lathe, Mill, Drill Press etc. (Horizontal Boring experience a plus!) This shop makes parts, shafts and sleeves, bore things out etc. Very intricate work with tight tolerances.
This is a long term, full time, temp-to-hire position in Bakersfield! The hours are 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. (second shift). Company offers excellent benefits along with a 401 k Retirement plan (with a % match)! Hourly rate is DOE. Call Kristy at 661-695-5117 for more information.
Requirements:
• Minimum two years of previous experience in a Manual Machinist position
• Ability to read blueprints to determine equipment and material needed
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience and knowledge utilizing measuring tools
• Ability to set up Manual Lathe, Mill and Grinders
• Valid California Driver's License
