Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Operate hydrovac trucks to perform excavation tasks, ensuring precision and safety.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Collaborate with construction teams to determine excavation needs and project requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and operational readiness of the hydrovac unit.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment during operations.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies while on-site.
- Assist in the operation of additional heavy equipment as needed, including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, and graders.
- Participate in horizontal drilling projects when required.
Experience
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with hydrovac trucks.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and requirements.
- Previous construction site experience is essential.
- Skills in operating various types of heavy machinery such as Caterpillar, dump trucks, water trucks, and paving equipment are highly desirable.
- Knowledge of excavation techniques and safety practices related to underground utility work is a plus.
