This position is a crew member of a well service rig responsible for performing services on oil and gas wells. Duties include assisting in rigging up and rigging down, pulling/laying down rods, tubing, casing and the functions specified by customer or well operator.
PAY RATE IS BOE
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
* Lifts, operates, rigs up/down guy wires hydraulic jacks, pad/boards, and emergency gear which may include fire extinguishers and H2S monitors.
* Lifts, removes, installs, and operates well head pump, jacks and performs other tasks as designated the rig operator or company officials.
* Drives company vehicles as necessary, including crew trucks and tool truck.
* Positions, lifts, attaches, installs, and works with matting boards, tubing, rods, casing and associated well equipment, such as rod strippers, polish rods, etc.
* Operates rod wrenches, tongs, elevators and other associated rig tools and equipment.
* May work in shop or yard as required.
* May become trained to operate company equipment (e.g. Hydra Walk)
* Works on elevated platform handing rods, tubing and other equipment related to well servicing.
* May work in the observation process as an observer, facilitator and/or trainer.
* Completes required work plans, job safety analysis, observations, and attends safety meetings as required.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICTIONS:
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* or Related work experience
* or Combination of education/experience
* Possess and maintain a valid class C driver's license
* Clean/Safe driving record
* Obtain and maintain annual Oilfield Orientation requirements
* Lifting/Carrying 10-50lbs (66%+)
* Pushing/Pulling 10-100+ (66%+)
* Driving in light/dark/foggy conditions (66%+)
* Physical Demands (66+%+)
* Exposure:
> Temperatures exceed 100 degree (33%+)
>Temperatures below 32 degree (33%+)
> Direct sunlight (66%+)
> Dust (66%+)
> Fumes/airborne particles (66%+)
> Moving mechanical part (66%+)
> Toxic/caustic chemicals (less than 1hr per week)
* Participate in regular safety and other work-related training that is sponsored by company, customers, or other companies and agencies as directed by any company supervisor/manager
* All other training as instructed by supervisor/manager
* Some common physical impacts include hammering, vibrations, and work-surface movements.
* Specific vision abilities required by job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
* The employee typically works in, on, and around slippery, hot and cold temperatures and surfaces, cramped quarters, sharp edges, and hand to full-body vibrations. The nose level in the work environment is quiet to loud.
