Medical Biller - Busy, local company in Bakersfield is looking for a Medical Biller to process and bill Medicare, Medi-Cal, insurance companies, private payor and patient claims. This Biller will also handle AR and payor collections, accounts receivable follow up, code insurance claims for diagnosis, enter all patient billing data, prepare monthly billing and AR reports, prepare remittances, resubmit bills to overdue accounts, track payment problems and resolve any discrepancies while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations.
This is a long term, full time, temp to hire position in Bakersfield. The hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Requirements:
Proficiency in billing software and applications
Strong understanding of Medicare, Medi-Cal and Private insurance Electronic Data interface methods
Experience in AR follow up and third party collections
Principles and practices of billing office operations
Medical terminology
ICD-10, DPT, and DSM-IV codes
Compliance issues as they relate to HIPAA
